Finally, I am back in Singapore. Arrived safely on Sunday night. It was a long trip back. 19 hours of flight and 6 hours of waiting in transit. Still, the feeling of home coming is better than any other moment. For the past 3 days, I am engaged with alot of things. I have to get all documents ready for my new flat, buying stuffs for Mountain Home and some gym session with baby at fitness first. Finally I have a chance to sit down and re-cap of my 2 months life in St Louis.

7th Feb was the day I left Singapore for St Louis. 2 months in a new environment and new expericences. It would really take me days to describe my life in St Louis. I had a great time there and this great memories is something I will cherish the most. Great memories like:

1) Life in Extended Stay America, Westport.

2) Time spend in Boeing

3) Trip to Casino: Ameristar, Harrah's and Lumiere.

4) The grand Arch.

5) Movie, Haunted house in Connecticut.

6) Great cheesecake in Cheesecake factories.

7) Hard Rock Cafe, St Louis.

8) Daily grocery trip in Schnucks.

9) 3 times a week gym session in Bally total fitness.

10) 3 hours drive trip to Osage beach, twice to be exact.

11) Pubbing session in 1014 and XES.

12) Hooters! esp those oyster session.

13) Outback dinner for Terry.

14) Lunch and dinner in all the chinese,indian, korean and thai restuarant.

15) Quiktrip, for my daily coffee.

16) St Louis Mills, for all my shoppings!

17) RnB radio station, 104.1.

18) The few encounters with snow, esp driving in it.

Pity that I do not have pictures to show all these. I only can blame myself for not bringing a camera. Lesson learn and will never make the same mistake in Mountain Home, esp with baby around. Pictures means a thousand words, indeed. 12 more days in Singapore before we fly over to Mountain Home, Idaho for 1 year. We very looking forward to the trip and well, hope everything just fall well for us.

My first time in Casino

Times flies, I am into my second week in ST Louis. The time now is 12:48PM Monday in ST Louis. Later I will be having my first test and I am well prepared. I have my first time for alot of things with this trip. I went to the casino for the first time in my life. First time having to go through such cold weather (0 degree or less), cooking food for myself and doing my own laundry. I am enjoying every moment now but I know it will get better when baby joins me in late April. Idaho is waiting for us!

Back in SG, things are going well for me as well. My wife and I finally got a home for ourself even though it will only be done up by 2013. Our dream home: Punngol Arcadia Block 288B #14-821. But to my despair, we still got alot of documents to settle with HDB as I am far away from home. I just pray hard that everything goes well when I am back early April. 7 more weeks to be back home and 7 more weeks of hard work here in ST Louis so that I wont disappoint everyone that had make this trip possible for us. PS: I miss you badly Mrs Lim.

USA, here I come

Long time since I last blogged. Was tied down with all my trip's preparation and spending more times on Football Manager 2009. 6 more hours and I will be on the plane leaving for ST Louis. A new stage of my working life. New challenges and new prospect awaits me. New working environment and new working style is something that are still a doubt in me. Nevertheless, I will enjoy this trip and will excel and achieve what I had set out for myself. Like what I had on my header, United State of America, here I come! I am gonna miss my family and all this guys (even its just 2 months before the actual trip):

Red is the colour for chinese new year. Red stand for the unstoppable Manchester United. We crushed WBA at their own yard. 5-0 was the final scoreline. Berbatov, Tevez, Vidic and Ronaldo(2) scores the 5 goals that keeps us on top of the table. Van de Sar also broke Petr Cech's record of 925 minutes without conceding a goal and United also set a new record of 11 successive clean sheets, breaking the Blues' record of four years ago. Next up, Everton will pay us a visit. Just bring them on!

Chinese New Year 09

This year's chinese new year is something special to me. Its my first as a married man. It is the first time baby join us for reunion dinner and all the praying ceremony on chinese new year eve. She was also with us on the first day of chinese new year which we usually go to my relatives house. All this is really something different from what I had in past years chinese new year. As it is the first year of my marriage, I dont have to give out any ang bao and it will also be my last year to receive haha! Next year this time comes around, Baby and I should still be in the states. We gonna miss the reunion dinner and all other gathering with relatives and close friends. Nevertheless, this year's celebration is one memorable occasion for me. 14 more days and I will be flying to ST Louis!

Berbatov sink Tottenham

Berbatov score the winner for Manchester United against his previous team to send United into FA cup fourth round. Tottenham took an early lead before Scholes level it in the 35min. Within a minute, another former spurs player Carrick send a beautiful pass to Berbatov for him to win the third round tie. 2-1 is the final result and continue our quest for the four championship we are involve in.

Was browsing through youtube at some NBA clips and I found this Unbelievalbe Dunk clip! Trust me, it is really unbelievable. Spinning 360 and dunk is too common. This guy here who I dont even know his name make a 720 spin and dunk it home! Thats 2 round in the air. Dont think even MJ or Lebron can do that. Give this clip a look guys!

United into Final

Yes! My Manchester United booked their place in the Carling Cup final with a 4-2 win over Derby County at Old Trafford to overturn a shock 1-0 defeat in the first leg. We will face Tottenham (For sure as they lead 4-1 from first leg) on March 1st. But, United pays a big price for this final appearance as several players were injured in this match. Both Andersen and Rafael will be out joining Evra, Rooney and Ferdinard on the injuried list. Evans and Nani was also limping towards the end of the match so they are an uncertainty for the next match which is the FA cup tie against Tottenham this Saturday ay Old Trafford. I dont think Sir Alex will risk using Giggs, Scholes anf Neville as he would prefer to keep them for more important games in the league and champions league. So, we might see Fletcher playing at right back and Fabio (Rafael twin brother) in contention for the left back position. For last night match, it was an expected result. United were too strong for Derby. Sir Alex did not play Tosic the new boy as what I have expected. Maybe due to all those injuries, he was unable to play him. Goals from Nani, O'Shea, Tevez and Ronaldo was enough to send us through to the finals. With games coming fast, we can ill-afford to have a growth in our injuries list. Something to be relieve about is that Ronaldo finally scored even it is from penalty spot and we still have young players like Gibson, Fabio, Tosic, Possebon and Wellbeck to use as role players. By the way, where is Owen "Sorry I bust my knee again" Hargreaves!

Punggol Arcadia Result

Since I got married, I have always been wondering about getting my own house. Baby and I have tried several ways. From buying through a housing agent to apply for the quarterly sales from HDB which are all second hand flats and finally applied in two Build-To-Order exercise that HDB are currently having, Punggol Arcadia and Punggol Regalia. Today(19/01/09), the result for BTO exercise of Punggol Arcadia is out. And for me, the following result is a happy start for us.
We were given the queue number 109. We applied for 4 room which have a total of 465 units. That means we have a high chance to choose the unit they we desire. The only problem is that the selection of the unit will only be carried out on Feb or March which by that time, I will be away at states. So, we have to get a lawyer and sign a Power Attorney to my Brother and Dad so to engage their help in the selection. Nevertheless, it is still a very happy news for us. This exercise will only be completed by 2013 which is still 4 years aways. Now, it is time to save up and get ready for the renovation of our own love nest!

LeBron James!

LeBron James! What can I say about this fantastic basketball player. He has the size, strength, speed and leaping ability that everyone compare him to the all time greatest basketball player that ever grace the court, Michael Jordan. To me there is only one similarities between them and that is they share the same number, number 23. James is different from MJ. James play small forward as compare to MJ. James is bigger in size and that makes his play different from MJ. James uses his strength, power and size very very well. James lead his team in points and assist. His number for block and steal have been outstanding as well. He is a complete package. Now in 2009, his team is leading the rest in the league. Will he end up with a championship? I think good chance. Compare to last season, Cavaliers are stronger. I just watched them last Saturday and they were awesome. The only problem now is experience and injuries in the team. The only person in the team that had won a championship is Big Ben Wallace. They also have quite a few injured players at this moment. When come to playoff time, all this will changes the result of the series. As for now, Lebron have to contnue to put his team on his shoulder and battle through all obstacle and get their hand on the main prize. If he failed, I dont think its a disaster. Dont forget, it took MJ almost 8 years to win his first NBA title. From what James had done for the team in recent years, I think this guy is fantastic. So I wish that when come July, its the Cavs and the Lakers in the NBA final.

Last Saturday 10/01/09, Sam organise an outing at a chill out place located inside Seletar Camp. I am not sure of the name of the place because I went there quite late. But one thing for sure, they really have very hot, spicy chicken wings. They have it from level 1 to 10. As that day we got to work, me, Rajen and Tong Seng went there with our family quite late. We had a hard time locating the place and we have to ask Sam to come out to lead us in. As we reach there late, we were unable to order any food as the last order was at 9.30pm. We are left with alot of chicken wings and cheese fries. But, the chicken wings are mix up so I dont know which is level 1 and which is level 10. So as a good husband I am, before baby wana eat, I will give it a try. Think I am very unlucky because on the first try, I tasted the power of level 10. It is really burning spicy and I really feel like dying haha. I find that this is a nice chill out place but as for the food, I dont think it is nice. Apart from very hot and spicy, it is too salty. The worst part is, it is very hard to locate this place. I dont think I can find the place again by my own hahaha. Those who love to challenge those damn hot and spicy chicken wings, you can go ahead. But please trust me, start of with level 1 first. Enjoy!

We are top of the table!

Yeah we are top of the table and there is where we belong. We did it the hard way by beating Bolton 1-0 with a last minute goal from Berbatov. Bolton played well but we have more heart and more motivation for the 3 points. Without Ferdinard, Evra and Rooney, we struggled. Thanks to Tevez and Berbatov who created the last minute goal. We are really lucky because before the goal, Sir Alex was about to take out Tevez and if that had happen, we might not have the goal. Now, we lead the EPL table by a point and like what everyone is saying, the title is ours to lose now. With Liverpool and Arsenal coming to Old Trafford in the remaining fixtures, destiny is in our own hand. With 17 more games to go in the league and alot of cup games coming up especially Inter Milan's visit, we have to hit top gear and faster get all injured players back. To me personally, Evra is the most important player in the squad. Without him last nite, the left wing attack was rather weak. His partnership with Ronaldo was outstanding which we saw in the Chelsea game. His defending ability was outstanding as well. We have to get him back fast. As for last night game, Carrick proved that he is the best passer in England with several beautiful un-lock defence passing. We got to visit WBA next game before we entertain Everton at Old Trafford. 2 tricky games but I think shouldn't be much problem to get all 3 points! Come on United!

Close Friends Gathering

Last night after our function, we proceed to Sufern house for a late night steamboat and mahjong session. We came up with this idea during our dinner for the function. The food was not enough for us so Pris and Sufern plan for a steamboat right after our function. But first most, Sufern have to call her husband Adrian to get the green light. She also asked Weide along too as both Adrian and Weide are having class when they received her SMS. So, we went according to our plan. I drop both Pris and Sufern at Sheng Song in Bedok then I send Mike back home for a bath and proceed to Baby's house to fetch her. After picking up her, its back to bedok for Mike, Pris and Sufern. We bought alot of stuffs for our late night steamboat session. Adrian was already at home when we arrvied. All of us start off by washing the food and getting everything ready for steamboat. Trust me, we are hungry! This is the first time I am having steamboat such late in the night. We started around 2350 and ended about 0200. We started clearing everything and clean the table and all plates. Then it was time for mahjong. I let baby played the whole game as she is having the good hand. She has improved quite alot in her mahjong skills which makes me happy and relieve. As its very late, they only played 1 round and the time was already 0445. We really have to rush back home because baby got to work the next morning and I have to send her to work! Bottom line is, this is what I enjoyed the most. A small gathering with close friends. A gathering with foods, gossips, mahjong and some sharings. What can I ask for more? We planned this the very last minute and it turn out to be very successful. Its all down to our seriousness and truthfulness towards our friendship. No "hey you should do it my way!" and No "I join you guys because they are not free". We cherish what we have and never ask for more. This is friendship.

United Goes Second

The scoreline reads Manchester United 1 Wigan 0. But it was a hard fought battle as according to Sir Alex and I quote, Wigan was the best side that have played in Old Trafford this season. They made it hard for us. Rooney score the only goal in the first minute but later picked up an injury that end his game early. This is also the ninth successive premier league clean sheet too. Mind you guys, most of the games are without Ferdinard. With this win, we climb our way up to second in the premier league table, 2 point behind Liverpool and 2 ahead of Chelsea with 1 game in hand. Everything look positive except that Rooney is out with a hamstring injuries for at least 3 weeks. Both Tevez and Evans also pick up slight injuries in this game as well. Hopefully they will not be joining Rooney and Evra on the sidelines. With a visit to Bolton coming up this Saturday, Sir Alex have to find the best players available. The Reebok Stadium is not a place United have great times this past few seasons and they are a strong team even now without Anelka. Lets do it this Saturday and be where we should belong, Top of the table!

Aisha is damn hot. This band is mixture of Japanese, Korean and Taiwanese. They are Asian version of Black Eye-Peas. All 4 of them are hardworking and talented especailly Aisha. She is previously from the Sunday Girls. To be exact, I remember that she came over Taiwan as a replacement. Now, she is the most successful of all and all this is down to her hardwork. You will never see her flaunting her sexiness in Taiwanese talk show. They have won the best band award and I think they will hit greater heights. Check them out!

Cristiano Ronaldo was named as FIFA World Player of the Year for 2008 on Monday and became the first Premier League player to get the award which he well-deserved.The 23-year-old was in stunning form last term when he helped Manchester United to Premier League and European Cup success hitting 42 goals in the process, and he has added the FIFA World Player of the Year to the prestigious Ballon d'Or (European Footballer of the Year) which he has already received. To ad to all this personal awards, he also won FIFA's Club World Cup recently.

For the FIFA World Player of the Year 2008, he faced competition from fellow nominees Xavi Hernandez, Fernando Torres, Lionel Messi and Kaka. Eventually, Messi finished in second place and Torres came third ahead of fourth-placed Kaka and Xavi. With his outstanding performance in 2008, he deserved all this personal awards and club successes. In all Manchester United fans heart, we hope he can continue to maintain his outstandin performance or even hit a greater height. With the fixtures now coming hard on United, we need him to once again lead us to club success. Viva Ronaldo!!

Fantastic Man Utd

Oh my Manchester United! We kick Chelsea a**. Last night we beat Chelsea 3-0. Goals from Vidic, Rooney and Berbatov. My man of the match will have to be Nemanja Vidic. The big centre back shine in this match. He lead the back line which was without Ferdinard. Even with young Evans in the back line, Chelsea dont even have any good chances. Drogba was totally shutout. With their performance last night, Chelsea dont even have a chance with United second team. Sir Alex was spot on again. I doubt him for his selection of Giggs and Neville in the starting line-up. But, they were outstanding! Neville was tough and always first to the loose balls. Giggs show his leadership from the middle. Battling hard in defence and always trying to attack with his no-longer fast pace. They are old but their determination and experience are valuable. Carrick, Scholes and Tevez never quite involve in this match and well rested. Next match is this Wed hosting Wigan and Sat we will visit Bolton. If both result goes our way, we will lead the table before Liverpool plays on Sunday. Lets make Mr Benitez eat his words. Come on Devils!!

Mike's Bday Celebration

Tonight we went to Coca at Taka to celebrate Mike's Birthday. Some of them cant make it because of work. But still those who came enjoyed ourself. Most importantly, the birthday boy enjoyed himself. Same as me, he will be leaving for states this year so this time next year, most of our close friend wont be there to celebrate for him. But no worries, my wife and I will still be around and will organise a celebration for you hah! Back to the dinner, it was a steamboat buffet. We sure ate alot. Especially me hah! The food is nice and I think the price is just right. Its our second time there anyway. Pris and Sufern bought a very nice cake. Not quite sure the name of the cake shop but I know its at AMK, next to Botak Jones! The celebration were full of foods laughters, photos taken and best wishes to Mighty Poh.. Happy Birthday Bro!

Derby stun Man Utd

Derby defeat Man Utd 1-0. What a stunner. But, it is only the first leg of the league cup semi-final. They still have to visit Old Trafford for the second leg. I dont think Derby stands any chance unless Sir Alex refuse to use most of his star players. I think he will mix and match again next game but with most stars playing. This weekend we will host Chelsea. Are we going to defend the title will depend much games like this. With Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham and Man City to visit Old Trafford as well, United have to win all this important fixtures to ensure they are crowned champion again by May.

When to watch Yes Man with baby this evening(Tuesday night). Its by Jim Carrey and Zooey Deschanel. Nice movie but it comes without subtitle. You have to really pay attention to what they say or else you cant catch the joke. For this movie, you will either find it quite funny or very lame. Different people will have different judgement. For me it is funny and with a beautiful babe. I am talking about the lead female actress, Zooey Deschanel.

United win FA cup easy tie

Manchester United set up an FA Cup fourth round home tie against Tottenham with a comfortable 3-0 win over Southampton. Goals from Danny Welbeck, Nani and Darron Gibson. This was an easy game from the start even without Rooney, Ronaldo and Tevez. Very interesting to see how will Danny Welbeck progress. In this Jan transfer, United bought Zoran Tosic and Adem Ljajic from Partizan Belgrade. Tosic, 21, will sign with immediate effect and wear the No 14 shirt, while an agreement is in place for 17-year-old Ljajic to remain with Partizan for the rest of 2009. Hope that inclusion of this 2 new player will boost our future prospect. Together with Players like Rafael, Fabio, Welbeck, Possebon, Gibson, Foster and Evans, they will be the new faces of Man Utd. Dont forget that Rooney, Ronaldo, Nani and Anderson are all below 25 and with many more years infront of them. Future looks bright in United.

Supper on New Year Day

Went to Sempang Bedok for supper with my usual gang. I was the one who initiate this outing. Whats better than having supper with those closest to you. As usual its prata, roti john, satay, sausages and a few ice milo. To my surprise, Alvin brought along his camera so we got it all pictured down. We even started our discussion on the next outing which is a farewell party for myself, Mike and John. We better plan early because there are always hiccups along the way. Conrad again, karaoke session or try to get a chalet? We end up with no answer but at least we came up with a few ideas. Dont worry, I will follow up on this matter!
